Nabeul (/ˈnæbəl/; Arabic: نابل Nābil), is a coastal town located in northeastern Tunisia, on the south coast of the Cape Bon peninsula and surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on both sides. It is the first seaside resort[1] in Tunisia. It is known for its agricultural riches and its touristic potentials. The city had a population of 73,128 as of the 2014 census. Nabeul's modern economy is based primarily on tourism. The most famous hotels are mainly located at the seaside. The most known tourist resorts in Nabeul include the Roman archaeological site of Neapolis (positioned 2 kilometres away from downtown), the archaeological museum which offers ceramic and Punic statues dating back to the seventh century BC and an important collection of Roman mosaics proceeded from sites of the region. Souk El Balgha is considered one of the most ancient and special souks in the region of Nabeul. It was dedicated to fabricating and selling the "balgha" heelless slippers made from leather. Souk Haddada is devoted for sheet metal workers. Souk Ezzit is where the traders sold the oil. The weekly Souk that takes place every Friday attracts many tourists and locals. The Medina of Nabeul can be accessed through many doors: Beb Blad, the main entry, Beb el Zaouia and Beb el Khoukha. A la découverte de Nabeul - Tunisie Coordonnées GPS: 36.45663, 10.73642 Nabeul, la capitale du Cap Bon, est une station balnéaire située à une dizaine de kilomètres de la ville de Hammamet en Tunisie. Elle est reconnue pour ses artisans qui fabriquent de très belles poteries ainsi que ses objets décoratifs en cuir et en métal. Nous avons d'abord visité une de ces boutiques d'artisanat et avons pu observer les différentes étapes de fabrication d'une poterie. Et puis nous avons eu du temps libre. Nous en avons profité pour faire une petite balade dans les rues de cette charmante ville. Il y a un nombre impressionnant de boutiques qui étalent leur marchandise sur le trottoir. C'est très coloré. Le choix est remarquable. C'est l'occasion de marchander. La médina de Nabeul est authentique et en marchant dans ses ruelles, nous découvrons de belles façades recouvertes de carreaux de céramique ainsi que de magnifiques portes traditionnelles. Nous avons pu également admirer sa mosquée ainsi que son impressionnant minaret qui s'élève très haut dans le ciel. Nous avons fait un arrêt à un petit resto afin de déguster un excellent cappuccino recouvert d'une importante couche de crème fouettée. Un pur délice!
