The Honda e has a few too many caveats for us to fall in love with it. But, it took until 2020 for the first pure electric Honda car to emerge in the shape of the e hatchback. The small, five-door EV is aimed squarely at taking sales from the MINI Electric, the PSA Group’s Peugeot e-208 and Vauxhall Corsa-e, plus the electric Fiat 500. Power for the Honda e comes from a 35.5kWh lithium-ion battery, with a rear-mounted electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This set-up provides either 134bhp or 152bhp, with a maximum range of up to 137 miles. There are just two equipment levels - Standard and Advance, with the entry trim matched to the lower powered car and the top-spec kit only offered in tandem with the more potent power option. Honda hasn’t scrimped with on-board tech in the e - there is an 8.8-inch display in front of the driver, along with two 12.3-inch screens taking care of the infotainment system. The system operates much like a smartphone, with large tile icons for various features (from power flow to activating the car’s onboard wi-fi hotspot), pinch-and-zoom functionality and the ability to switch information from one screen to another. There's plenty of tech then, but is it enough to win us over? Nicola Hume finds out in this full review. LIKE if you think the Honda E is the cutest EV out there & SHARE if you think EVs should be more affordable than this.. It's retro alright, but it's also built for the modern world. We have featured the Honda E before, but this is the first time we've been able to try it out in its natural urban habitat. One thing is for sure, it is a beautiful car with a smooth and simple design that turns heads wherever it goes. Despite being compact, it's surprisingly still a 5 door, and offers up some notable extra features including cameras for wing mirrors and a panoramic glass sunroof. For a premium compact car though, the battery and range are also small in comparison to other similar-sized EVs. It's fun to drive and a great little city car, but is the Honda E the ultimate urban EV? If not, which one is? Frank test in deze video de Honda e 2020. De volledig elektrische stadsauto maakt op straat zo mogelijk nog meer indruk dan op de beursvloer. Helaas geldt dat ook voor zijn prijskaartje. New 2022 Honda e:NS1 in-depth Walkaround 1 just 1-minute car video😉 Honda gave us a taste of how it's forthcoming electric SUV would look with the SUV e: Concept, and it seems these production models carry forward the concept’s design with added HR-V influence. the e:NS1 will be available with either a 180bhp or 201bhp electric motor, and the top speed of the SUV will be capped at 93mph regardless of the powertrain. The car is also listed as having a 68.8kWh battery pack – but how reliably these specifications will translate to the European version of the car is debatable. The models also offer a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.1-inch center screen with the e:N OS system, which is a fusion of Honda Sensing, Honda Connect, and Intelligent Digital Cockpit. A Driver Monitoring Camera (DMC), which detects potential dangerous behavior such as inattentive driving and an indication of drowsiness experienced by the driver, is available as well. The electric subcompact SUV is priced from 175,000 yuan ($26,700) to 218,000 yuan ($33,230).
